About This Volume

From the author

If you’ve been told your labs are “normal” but you still feel far from healthy, the problem may not show up on standard blood work. Mitochondria — the tiny structures inside nearly every cell in your body — are responsible for producing the energy that keeps your heart beating, your brain thinking, and your immune system running. When COVID-19 or other infections damage these cellular power plants, the result is a deep, persistent fatigue that no amount of rest can fix. Dr. Groysman has treated thousands of patients with exactly this pattern, and this book distills what he’s learned into language anyone can follow.

Volume 3 walks you through the science of mitochondrial dysfunction without requiring a biology degree. You’ll learn how your cells make energy, what goes wrong when oxidative stress overwhelms your antioxidant defenses, and why post-exertional malaise (PEM) happens at the cellular level. The book covers specific diagnostic tools — from organic acids testing to simple blood markers your doctor can order — so you can finally get answers that match how you actually feel.

Most importantly, this book gives you a path forward. Dr. Groysman’s 5-pillar mitochondrial recovery plan covers targeted nutrition, pacing strategies, supplement protocols, and advanced therapies like low-dose naltrexone, methylene blue, and red/near-infrared light therapy. Mitochondrial dysfunction is often reversible. With the right knowledge and the right tools, your body can start producing energy again.

From the Book

"Millions of people today are walking around with a level of exhaustion that doesn't make sense -- not to them, not to their doctors, and certainly not to the people around them. You sleep all night, but wake up feeling like you ran a marathon. What many of them actually have is mitochondrial dysfunction -- caused or worsened by the virus."

Common Questions

Before You Buy

What format is this book available in?

The book is available as a digital download (PDF/eBook). A paperback edition is also available on Amazon. Once purchased through the Long COVID Family store, you receive instant access to the digital version.

Is this written for patients or healthcare providers?

Both. The series is written so that patients can understand their biology without a medical background, and so that physicians have a structured, mechanism-based framework they can use with their own Long COVID patients. Dr. Groysman specifically avoids jargon and always explains the "why" behind the science.

Do I need to read Volume 1 first?

Volume 1 introduces the full six-mechanism framework and is the recommended starting point. The mechanism-specific volumes (2–7) build on that foundation, though each volume can also stand alone if you already know which mechanism you want to explore.

What is the refund policy?

For refund and return questions, contact the Long COVID Family store directly at customer@covidinstitute.org or call (214) 390-7557. Due to the digital nature of the books, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
