Your Hormones Changed After COVID. Here's What's Actually Happening.

If your cycles shifted, your thyroid looks normal but you feel terrible, or your weight and energy changed since COVID, your endocrine system may be disrupted. This book maps out why and how to address it.

About This Volume

From the author

COVID-19 doesn’t stop at the lungs or immune system. It reaches into the endocrine system, the network of glands that regulate metabolism, energy, mood, sleep, and reproduction. Volume 7 maps out how the virus disrupts thyroid hormones, sex steroids like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, the adrenal stress response, and metabolic function. For many patients, these hormonal shifts explain symptoms that standard bloodwork misses: the fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix, the weight gain that diet doesn’t touch, the anxiety that appeared out of nowhere.

This volume covers fourteen distinct sections, from hormone foundations and neurotransmitter crossover to thyroid disorders, HPA axis dysfunction, prolactin imbalances, and the gut-brain-hormone connection. Dr. Groysman explains the clinical reasoning behind bioidentical hormone replacement, testosterone support, thyroid optimization, and adrenal recovery, with attention to risk balancing in sex-hormone care, including breast cancer and cardiovascular considerations. Each chapter connects mechanism to symptom to testing to treatment.

If your body feels fundamentally different since COVID, if your cycles shifted, your thyroid numbers look “fine” but you feel terrible, or your metabolism seems to have stalled, this volume gives you the framework to understand what changed and how to work with your provider to address it.

From the Book

"SARS-CoV-2 appears to disrupt the endocrine system, leading to dysregulation of key hormones. Many patients are told their lab results are 'normal,' but they still feel exhausted, anxious, inflamed, or unable to function. These symptoms aren't 'just in your head.' They are real, chemical imbalances that affect how your brain and body function."

Common Questions

Before You Buy

What format is this book available in?

The book is available as a digital download (PDF/eBook). A paperback edition is also available on Amazon. Once purchased through the Long COVID Family store, you receive instant access to the digital version.

Is this written for patients or healthcare providers?

Both. The series is written so that patients can understand their biology without a medical background, and so that physicians have a structured, mechanism-based framework they can use with their own Long COVID patients. Dr. Groysman specifically avoids jargon and always explains the "why" behind the science.

Do I need to read Volume 1 first?

Volume 1 introduces the full six-mechanism framework and is the recommended starting point. The mechanism-specific volumes (2–7) build on that foundation, though each volume can also stand alone if you already know which mechanism you want to explore.

What is the refund policy?

For refund and return questions, contact the Long COVID Family store directly at customer@covidinstitute.org or call (214) 390-7557. Due to the digital nature of the books, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
